As an online-only establishment, we conveniently offer nationwide delivery for your convenience. Alternatively, you can opt for a free pickup option available at our location on 38 Park Island Way. Please note that we require a notice period of 24-72 hours for all orders, and additional delays may occur. Custom cakes, in particular, necessitate one week’s notice to ensure meticulous preparation.

We are an exclusively gluten-free, celiac-safe bakery based in Marina da Gama, Cape Town. Most of our products are also vegan. Buckwheat Bakery was started in 2021 by Stephanie Donachie. Having been gluten and lactose intolerant for 10 years, her goal is to make great tasting, allergy and intolerance friendly food easily available and affordable.
All of our products are gluten-free and made in a gluten-free kitchen. Many of our products are also vegan (and therefore dairy-free) or available as vegan on request. We also make to order so feel free to reach out to us on social media for custom orders.
